  • Business Information: Company name, business registration details, business type, industry, website URL, and other information related to your business operations.
  • Owner Identity (KYC): Full legal name, date of birth, government-issued identification (e.g., passport, driver's license), Social Insurance Number or equivalent, and proof of address for Know Your Customer verification purposes.
  • Banking Information: Bank account details including institution number, transit number, and account number for settlement of funds.
  • Transaction Data: Payment amounts, transaction dates, customer payment information (processed securely via our payment partner), refund and chargeback records, and settlement history.
  • Usage Data: IP addresses, browser type, device information, pages visited, features used, access times, and other analytics data related to your interaction with our platform.

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • Payment Processing: To facilitate payment transactions through our payment processing partner, Finix Payments, including authorization, capture, settlement, and refund operations.
  • Identity Verification: To verify your identity and the legitimacy of your business through KYC and KYB processes, as required by applicable laws and regulations.
  • Fraud Prevention: To detect, prevent, and investigate fraudulent transactions, unauthorized access, and other illegal activities that may affect our platform or users.
  • Platform Improvement: To analyze usage patterns, improve our Services, develop new features, personalize your experience, and provide customer support.
  • Legal Compliance: To comply with applicable laws, regulations, legal processes, and enforceable governmental requests.

We share your information only with trusted third parties necessary to provide our Services:

  • Finix Payments: Our payment processing partner receives transaction and merchant data necessary to process payments, manage settlements, and comply with card network regulations.
  • Supabase: Our data storage and infrastructure provider hosts merchant and platform data with enterprise-grade security and encryption.
  • Legal and Regulatory Bodies: We may disclose information when required by law, court order, or governmental authority.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.

Protecting payment card data is a top priority. ZeniPay maintains PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) compliance through the following measures:

  • Card data is never stored on ZeniPay's servers. All payment card information is processed directly and securely through Finix Payments' PCI-compliant infrastructure.
  • We use tokenization to reference payment methods without exposing sensitive cardholder data.
  • All data transmitted between your browser, our platform, and our payment partners is encrypted using TLS (Transport Layer Security) protocols.
  • We undergo regular security assessments and maintain compliance with current PCI DSS requirements through our partnership with Finix.

We retain your personal and business information for as long as your account remains active and as necessary to provide our Services. After account termination, we may retain certain information as required by applicable laws and regulations, including tax and financial reporting requirements, fraud prevention, and dispute resolution purposes. Transaction records are typically retained for a minimum of seven (7) years in accordance with Canadian financial regulations. You may request deletion of your data subject to our legal retention obligations.

Under the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable Canadian privacy laws, you have the following rights:

  • Right of Access: You have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you and to receive a copy of that information.
